Calculations

The payment estimates and interest calculations in the Amortization app have been compared against other apps and websites during development. If you have questions about how the calculations are performed, or if you want to report issues with the calculations, please contact us using our support form. Payments can also be adjusted using the Show Info button from the loan summary screen if you wish to match payments as defined by your lender.

We recognize that users do not wish to share financial information when reporting issues. So long as interest rates, payment periods, and compounding periods match, we can investigate reported issues. We recommend multiplying your balance and payment amounts by a multiple that is not shared with us to keep your balances private.
